how to keep pests out of clothing in storage..?

i'm about to take a bunch of storage bins full of baby stuff to my mom's to keep in the basement, but i'm kind of worried about bugs, mice, etc. ?i was going to be totally non-EF and wrap each plastic bin in a plastic trash bag, but i'm not sure how much that would help. ?i also have some bulk dried herbs from another project...anyone know if those would help? ?i'm planning to do some googling, but i thought someone here might know.

  • I have these moth packet things called Moth Away that are made out of herbs... not sure about the mice though.

    Cedar balls?

    This would be my choice.

  • Cedar chips and maybe tape the lids clothed on the bins.  They are plastic bins, right?

  • Ceder should keep out moths. I was told that mice won't chew through aluminum foil, so you could line the boxes with that.

Have you considered using vacuum packs? They are vinyl, so not too EF, but they are at least reusable. I'm pretty sure they should keep pests out (at least bugs - not sure about mice).

I'll be watching the thread to see what other advice people have.
