This will be my last week (astually my last day!!) in the 2nd trimester-- thank you so much to Dundasgirl for taking over the post.  Best wishes to all of you and I'll see you in the 3rd tri soon!!!

QOTD:  Have you had any strangers do the belly pat?  How do you feel about people (stangers and not) touching your belly without permission?

no stranger belly pats yet- i'm not that ku looking

my friend did pat it & it was weird. i told her there really wasn't much of anything there yet but she's so excited she couldn't contain herself. meh. it's only weird for me because i don't like being touched.

i think you shouldn't pat unless permission is given. and even then- i wouldn't pat because i have no desire.

Question:  I have only told two people (that includes my DH) that I am PG.  I have to hide b/c of my career.  So only person touching my belly is me and DH!

This is my last 2nd trimester check-in too. I can't believe it! See you all soon in 3rd trimester.

QOTD: Since I'm on bedrest I'm never out anywhere that I'd see strangers, just home and the OB's office so it hasn't been an issue. If a stranger tried to touch me I'm pretty sure I'd instinctually take a step back though, I'm very weird about touching (other than DH). Even when my mom or closest friends have touched my belly (happened 2-3 times now) I don't mind at all, but it always feels weird to me and I have to make a conscious decision not to make a shocked face that someone is touching me!

due date 9/30/09 IUI#2 w/ twins!   I have my first OB appt this week. I'll miss my quaint RE's office though

 I havent had a stranger feel my belly but my mom keeps doing it and its getting annoying.  I can only imagine what it would be like if a stranger touched me.

Update: I'm 17 weeks today and feeling good. I have my big u/s next Thursday and am very excited for that. I had a big growth spurt last week!

QOTD:  I haven't had any strangers rub my belly yet, but my friends and familiy do it.  I'm a little self concious about it, but it doesn't really bother me.  I'm sure I'll be more comfortable as the belly gets bigger.

Congrats on moving to the 3rd tri Desabean! Thanks for taking over Dundasgirl!

Update: Can you please update my status to show that we're having a girl. We found out about a week and a half ago at our 16w u/s. Thanks! No big appts or u/s this week. My next appt is next Friday, and it will just be a routine check up with a quick u/s to double check the gender etc.

QOTW: No, I haven't had any strangers do the belly pat yet. I don't think I've had any strangers even comment on my pregnancy yet. I don't mind if my family and close friends touch without permission. I'm not sure how I would feel if a stranger did. It would definitely depend on the person (whether I got a good or creepy vibe etc) and the situation.
