it's a website where you post the answer to "What are you doing?". You have a homepage where you see the posts of everyone you follow. It's pretty simple.
It is. My friend and I have a joke about the name of it.

It's microblogging in 140 characters or less. Many people do it from their mobile, but I typically do it online. You follow people, and people follow you.
I Twitter for the non-profit I work for, and we "tweet" real news in our field.
But many individuals "tweet" ridiculously stupid things. Like "guy in front of me in Starbucks just farted." Seriously. Who the f cares? Like Facebook, it can get completely too self-involved.
I am crazy addicted to Twitter. I sit there at work and do it all the time. I also follow a lot of news/gossip sites. I also follow some record labels and bands that will just release some songs and reviews on Twitter. Solie Moon Fry's is pretty cool, it is all about her DD's and P.Diddys is very positive. Mine is just biitching about either the people I work with or customers I deal with. You can check mine out if you want. I'm TheNerdyKatie .
Re: What is twitter?
it;s where you go to tweet!
lol, it's just like "what are you doing now" on fb, but that's all it is. status updates...
No, definitely not. Not nearly as complicated as facebook. Like PP said, it's basically what you would get if facebook had nothing but status updates.

Me, too, but my company is a digital marketing publication.
I also have a personal Twitter account, but I'm not on it much these days anymore.
