How many nursing pads do you have/need?

I have three sets and I'm wondering if I need more.

Really depends on how often you want to do laundry   I had three good Foo Foo sets and some crappy Gerber ones.  I wished I had about 5 Foo Foo sets only because I got lazy washing them and would run out but that lasted for only a short time.  Some people end up not needing them for very long and then there's some who need them the whole time they BF. 

So, I'd say get a couple more sets.

I started with 3 pairs and then bought 3 more.  They were supposed to be hand washed and I hate hand washing!

I have 2 sets of FooFoo and wish I had at least 2 more sets...those things are AWESOME!

I have 6 pair, and it's about right.  I wear a pair a day, and I have to use disposable ones at night or they'd soak through.  I also like the disposables for if I'm going out because they're thinner and less visible.

3 pair of mine are flannel and 3 are terry.  I think the terry are more absorbent, but the flannel were much nicer when my nipples were sore.

I think I have about 8 sets. I'm not using them anymore. It depends how often you do laundry. The baby's laundry was always taking presedence over my clothes, so I liked having more sets of nursing pads. You may want to just get started and see how you like the ones you have. Sometimes I would double up at night.?

i have 2 sets of hemp ones (for night mostly) and 6 sets of the Dr. Brown's cotton ones. I have one boob that always leaks when i'm feeding from the other side, so i wear pads all the time. I also have to double up at night now that DS is sometimes STTN. I  recommend getting a lingere bag to wash them in if you machine wash.
