My first son crawled (well, dragged himself) at 8 months and crawled at 9. My other little guy will be 10 months soo and just lays on his belly and will push himself backwards on the floor (belly is not up off the floor though). Doctor is not concerned and said they do not consider crawling a milestone but I can't even see him trying to pull-up yet. I know I really should not worry but I just can't help it sometimes. Soooooooooooooooo, did any of your little ones crawl late? Thanks!
Re: 9.5 months and not crawling.
Thank you
I never crawled. Literally. I have photos of my grandfather crawling beside me trying to teach me. I walked on time but never crawled.
I wouldn't worry.
DD crawled at 11.5mo and walked at 14.5mo.
And honestly, having a baby who sat there like a bump on a log for so long was a BLESSING. Which I only realized after she started moving!
Ethan sat up by himself at 7months, crawled at 8 months and walked all by himself by 11 months. J sat up/pulled up at almost 10 months, crawled at 10 months and he's nowhere near walking, he does not even want to try to walk. My dr at the 9 months appointment told me to wait 6 weeks and see what happens. He started sitting up and crawling before the 6 week mark.
Right now I can't keep up with this child. He's 11.5 months and he's like a tornado. He crawls everywhere so fast!
If your dr' is not concerned, I would not be either. Some kids don't even crawl at all (neither dh nor I crawled).
ROFL at bump on a log. DS army crawled at FIVE MONTHS. My life was never the same I kept having the chase him. While my friend's DD sat in a laundry basket playing with toys until she was 11.5 months old then suddenly just got out and walked. I sooo envied my friend for being able to do stuff around the house without worrying about a mobile kid!
