I'm crying while I type this. The nausea start on Friday and it has got worse as the weekend went on. The vomiting started last night(sunday) in the shower. Then at work I couldn't keep anything down. I threw up 7 times. And I can't stop burping. WTH. Now the hubby is worried. I told him that as far as I know this is part of being pregnant but he wants to talk to women to get some reassurance that I'm not dying. I feel so bad. Can't sleep, can't eat, Ifeel worse when I stand for to long. I hope this feeling doesn't last much longer. I'm so tired. I need sleep. but can't. Every position make me feel ill. The only one that's not so bad is me sleeping in a somewhat sitting position.
Trying to keep it together for Bubba. We named the baby "Bubba" We have an odd sense of humour.
Re: Don't know how if I'm strong enough.
you're not dying, you're pregnant. if the nausea/vomiting gets so severe that you think you're dehydrating yourself - call your doctor.
other than that, just try to hang in there.
I'm so sorry to hear that you are sick. Make sure you are drinking enough otherwise you will get dehydrated and need go to the ER for fluids. Talk to your doctor, they can perscribe something for the nausea or sometimes taking extra B6 works too (that's what my doctor gave me)
Hope you feel better soon.

hugs. i'm right there with you, except it's been 2 weeks and i've lost 7lbs already. i broke down crying today with my mom. the advice i got today from other ladies on my local board was foods/candies with cinnamon in them, b-6 vitamins, try taking your prenatals at different times of the day, call your doctor about zofran if this continues. drink tons of water.. for me room temp water goes down more easily then cold water does. i seem to be able to keep pizza down, bananas are evil and so are eggs and yogurt. but it's different for everyone.
it IS a normal part of pregnancy but man is it tough. i was sick with my son, but not this bad.. it's making me re-think having a 3rd.
Hang in there!
Definitely call your doctor though to see if they can give you anything. My SIL loved those wrist band pressure point things they sell at the pharmacy and ginger root (in tea or plain or candied ginger).

Thanks for the encouragement ladies. I had a moment of self pity. Trying really hard to keep hydrated.
Hope you ladies going through it as well, feel better soon.
hang in there! Today is my first puke free day in weeks! It's amazing how good just 1 free day makes ya feel!
I recommend ginger or pepermint tea, too. Anything that will stay down. Ice cream and sherberts work well for me because they are not acidic.
Some ladies swear by sour and cold stuff- I think ThatGirlAng on 2nd tri survived on Lemon Ices for awhile, LOL. Another girl recently posted about making a frozen lemonade at home- fresh lemon juice (that Vit. C is always good for you), ice, and a little sugar. The combination of sour, cold, fluid, and a little sugar to get your blood sugar up seems to do the trick for some ladies.
I didn't have this nearly as bad as you, but when I felt nasty I would force myself to get something down. A few nights, I ate pretzels and ginger ale for dinner. I convinced myself that the ginger ale would make me feel better as long as it was icy cold, and it seemed to work- I don't know if it actually had an effect or if I just let myself think that icy cold ginger-ale was a cure-all.
Hang in there and good luck!
