Egg beaters during pregnancy?

Is it safe to eat egg beaters during pregnancy?? i only know that it's pasteurized, so at least that's one less thing to worry about...

Pasteurization kills just about everything, so I'd say you're safe.

From an earlier post: Because they're pasteurized, Egg Beaters are safe and convenient to use in recipes that require uncooked eggs: Caesar salad dressing, protein shakes, smoothies, b?arnaise and hollandaise sauces, eggnog and more.

If you're really concerned, you should probably follow all guidelines you would when using regular eggs: make sure they're cooked throughout, wash all surfaces they come into contact with, etc.

I eat egg beaters all of the time and as long as you cook them all of the way, you'll be fine!!!

Are you eating your eggs raw? If you are going to cook the EBs or regular whole eggs, this will have the same effect as pasteurization (killing any bacteria).

I ate Egg Beaters thoughout my pregnancy.  I never thought twice about whether or not they were safe.  I am sure they are safe.
