I'm a worry-wort, big time, but thought I'd ask this...does anyone ever get it where you can hear and feel your heartbeat in your ear?
I've been having this pretty much since last Thursday night and if I concentrate on it, like at night, it drive me nuts. Is this anything to be concerned about??
Re: NTTCR: pulsing in my ears
Not sure if this is the same, in my left ear I have what I call a whooshing sound. Very much like a heartbeat. I have had it for years now, when I first noticed it I had a lot of headaches that went along with it so they sent me in for an MRI. Nothing was found and so they sent me on to an ear dr. who told me to lower my salt in-take and gave me water retention pills. That never worked but I never went back to the dr to find out more, I just more or less live with it. Like you at night if it's quiet it drives me crazy! I also noticed it gets worse if I have been drinking. For your own sanity I suggest seeing someone because you never know.
Edited to add: Did you recently hit your head? Mine started after a fall while snowboarding, which is why they went to an MRI straight away.
Thanks for the info. No, I haven't recently hit my head or anything, but I've been stressing myself worrying about various problems with my health lately and it seems to have started after my tubal rupture back in December. My husband thinks it's just me stressing and worrying about it. But, maybe I'll ask a doctor I work with about it. I was just at the doctor last week for another problem and I don't want to look like a hypocondriac to them (even though I know that's what I'm turning into).
