I need to change a contract for a client and the wording just doesn't look right to me. The jist is there, so hopefully you know what it's trying to say, but anyway....thanks.
Dammit, I put it in originally, and it wouldn't fit. Try this: "The fee for candidate's placed will be 15% of candidate's first year base compensation or $15k, whichever is less."
Re: NPR: Can you please help me word this correctly?
the 1st time you use the word "cadidate's" it should not be in the possessive form - no apostrophe.
maybe try "The fee for each candidate placed shall be 15% of said candidate's gross, annual base compensation, or $15K, whichever is the lesser amount."
I am sure there is a better "legalese" wording . . but I sure don't know it.
