i have glass born free and love them...i dont have any idea of how many because i only nurse. we had to supplement with fornula for a week right when he was born and he didnt have a problem...but now he cant figure out how to suck on anything other than the boob (pacifier, bottles, fingers, etc...) haha!
i (unfortunately?) have to go back to work full time, and so will be pumping, and thus using bottles during the day at daycare... so my little one is going to HAVE to learn how to be a multi-sucker...
We used the Medela BPA-free plastic bottles. DD took well to the nipples and I liked the fact that they fit directly on the pump and I could freeze them as well. Medela also makes glass bottles now but I haven't used them so can't recommend them, personally.
I'll be back at work, too, so needed bottles for regular use.
I'm getting a variety of glass bottles (Born Free, Dr Brown, Evenflo, Medela) so that I could figure out what DC will like. I've been told what one baby likes another will hate. I got the small size (~4 oz) to start with, except for the medela which I could only find in 8 oz (but I plan on using that for pumping/storing since I have a medela pump). I'm going with glass, because I feel it's safest and easiest to clean.
Unfortunately, I recently saw in our daycare materials that they only accept plastic bottles Their materials also say that they don't CD, but in person they assured me multiple times that they will if I bring them. So I'm hoping it will be the same for bottles. I plan on bringing in ones with silicon sleeves to ease concerns of broken glass. (I pack my lunches in glass and have never had anything break or even chip).

We use Dr. Brown's recommended by LC. He like them and DH likes them they have a lot of parts to wash. I only have 3 bottles but I would like 1 more. # was enough when I was home but now I go into work in the afternoon I need more.
Re: What type of bottle?
