So I am walking thru the parking lot, pushing a shopping cart which is holding a toddler and an infant in a carrier. It is lightly raining. We have no umbrella. We are walking behind a row of parked cars when a black Lexus SUV starts to reverse out of a space about 1 1/2 spaces ahead of my position. The driver has yet to look in my direction, he's just pulling on out.
I stop moving, of course.
He sees me and stops. He is maybe 1/4 of the way out of the space. Does he pull forward and let me walk behind him, since I am literally right there? NO. He takes his foot off the brakes and proceeds to back out. this involves him stopping again, putting his car in drive, then back into reverse to get a better angle. All the while I stand there with 2 children under 3 in the rain. Our eyes met once, I just looked at him, no emotion (I hope)
Re: what an astonishing act of prickheadness (word?)
I would be giving the d!ickhead dirty looks....my girls say I'm the queen of dirty looks lol
I'm sorry. People are idiots.
I've got a better one. I was pg and waddling further behind DH who was pushing our cart. This girl came flying in an SUV into a parking space and nearly ran over DH! He had to jerk the cart so she wouldn't hit it but he just kept walking. When I walked by, she looked in her rear-view mirror and was laughing! So, we're loading our stuff up a few spots down and the girl is staring at us and laughing with her friend. DH finally got pissed and flipped her off. No, not the right thing to do, but this girl was an idiot. So he goes to bring the cart back and she starts yelling at him. DH tells her to get the F away from him and she threatens to call the police. He told her to go ahead and call. All the while, I'm standing at our car watching all this unfold. We finally got the heck out of there. What is wrong with people?
Yeah, I hate parking lots.
