Prometrium supp.

If you had an IUI and you took Prometrium..did you stop at 9 weeks? My doctor said to stop them at 9 weeks, which I am today....and BOY am I happy about that!! I hated those things, they made me so sore and gross feeling. But, at the same time I am worried to stop.....does that makes sense?

Yep it makes total sense that you're worried!  I stopped progesterone around the same time...your body is producing what it needs now.

I am still on mine, and I'm at 8 weeks.  Glad to hear that I could be done with them next week!?!?

I think I stopped endometrin around 10 weeks or so, so sounds about right. If you're really nervous and have some left, you could always wean yourself. I was taking it three times a day, so when I got the OK to stop, I went to twice a day, then once a day until I completely ran out. I was glad to be done with it!

I got the ok to stop at 12 weeks but stayed on until 15 weeks.  I was too paranoid!  Plus my RE and OB both said that too much could never hurt me or baby, so why not?  And those pills were SO freakin expensive that I wanted my money worth - LOL
But my highest level ever was like 9, so maybe I was a different case...

I didn't have an IUI but I was on prometrium.. stopped at 10 weeks and loved it.

Ok thanks girls!! I will call the nurse just to make sure..I have a few more left...so we'll see.:)

My RE stopped mine at 7 weeks and I felt the same way - relieved and worried.  Just remember that they wouldn't tell you to stop if they didn't think it was "safe" to do so and be glad you're done with that ickiness!

With DS, I stopped at 9 weeks and it was heaven!  With #2, my RE changed their policy and wanted everyone to stay on until 10 weeks so I just stopped last Thursday and wow - was I happy!

Totally normal to be nervous!
