Seeing the light

I'm finally starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel.

We tried going to the later church service yesterday and DS did very well. I only had to leave to change him once and he didn't have any meltdowns. He actually was having fun yelling, wiggling and "singing."

I'm starting to get caught up on work and getting some of the household clutter under control thanks to having the part time nanny. She comes 3 days a week for 5 hours a day and it's making a big difference. I can focus on getting work done (when I'm not slacking on the bump) and then I enjoy the time I do have with DS more for having gotten a break from him.

We also seem to be getting bedtimes and nights somewhat under control. He's been going down between 8-9pm and not getting up until 7am. I've only been having to go in to soothe him 1-2 times before 10pm and then nurse him twice during the night sometime between 12-1 and 3-4. It's still not enough sleep but it's a huge improvement.

And finally, I've only gone to a few counseling sessions but it's helping me feel like a normal person and not someone on the brink of being a psychoctic loon who loses control.

Of course now that I posted all that, I'm sure to have jinxed myself and things will go out of control again. But at least I had a "vacation" while it lasted. Big Smile

Re: Seeing the light

  • I don't know what you were dealing with before exactly, but from this post I can kind of infer.  I'm glad you are doing better.  Feeling like you can handle life is something a lot of people take for granted.  I hope things continue to be on an upswing :)
