How often does your toddler poop?

DD seems to go every 3 or 4 days and I'm wondering if I should worry about it.  She loves dairy and isn't a huge fruit or veggie eater.  However, she doesn't seem constipated when she goes.  I started giving her a fiber gummy 2x/day to see if that will help.  I know most kids develop their own "patterns" but I'm just wondering if this is not often enough.  Also, now that she is PT (daytime at least) I'm worried that maybe she has to go but is scared or something to go on the potty.  She wears a diaper to bed and for nap so I guess she could go then if she felt more comfortable but she hasn't.  Her last poop was on Thursday.

  • My dd was going 4 or 5 days when she 1st started potty training. I talked to her DR and he said its normal.
  • My DS is 2.5 and he poops once per day.

  • Every.single.day.  At least once.  He eats a ton of fruit, though, and has always been rather "regular."
  • She usually poops every other day

  • At least once a day. Sometimes twice.

He eats a LOT of fiber-- whole grain fruit bars, figs, oranges, whole grain bread, veggies, etc.

He also drinks much more water than he does milk. I would say he drinks maybe 10-12 oz of milk a day, and about 2-3 times that in water.

Dear lord, I wish he went every few days. He literally goes 3-4 times PER day. ?I swear he has some kind of freakishly high metabolism or something. He eats more than any child I have ever seen and is not even 20 lbs yet, and I swear it is because he poops all the damn time.?
  • 1-2 times a day, but she doesn't drink much milk (8 oz a day, usually), and loves fruit and high fiber cereal, whole grain bread, etc.
