I used to be that way....but when dh started having heart trouble we had to start switching milks...we started out with 2% mixed with whole milk until we could drink just 2%...then we did the same with 1% mixed with 2%.
Now we drink just 1%...dh can drink skim but I cant. Whole milk now is just too thick & creamy.
Yes my milk has to be very cold but no ice...thats just too icky but my dad does that.

My favorite verse!
I only like the taste of skim. I'm sure I could live with 1 or 2%, but I prefer skim.
We went out to eat Friday and I ordered milk for DS. The waitress asked if I wanted ice in his milk. I thought it was a strange thing to ask, but after reading your post, I guess there are people who do that!
I used to be a whole milk drinker but DH slowly moved me down to 1% when we were dieting. It took a really long time to get used to it but that's all I drink now (and I will put ice in it if it isn't cold enough).
The thought makes me totally gag. Just looking at whole milk being poured makes me shudder. I can't barely drink 1% milk.
Mine must also be icy cold, but I think ice in milk is gross. My Dh does this and I call him a freak. Also, I can't drink milk if it's in a plastic cup or bowl. I have a lot of rules about milk.
I once accidentally poured myself a glass of DS's whole milk awhile back and I thought it was the most awful thing ever! I can only drink fat free. DS is on 2% now and I still think it's awful!
Re: Am I th only one who can only drink whole milk?
I only like it on cereal. Otherwise, I feel like I have a milk-film in my mouth & can't get rid of it.
I like 2%. Anything below that and it just tastes like water. But we used to do 1/2 before kids. Probably go back to it when they're both allowed LOL

once I switched to skim, I had a hard time drinking whole. I prefer a lowfat or skim milk. but it has to be cold cold cold.
dc will drink anything I set in front of them. lol
I prefer whole milk. 2% is okay, but whole is better. Skim milk is nasty- if skim is my only option I'll just go without milk.
Whole milk to me is just like "full" beer. It has to be "light", or it makes me feel too full.
I also like mine icy cold (but no ice cubes). I can't drink any milk below 2% though. It just tastes like milky water to me otherwise.
