Success after IF

For those of you still here....

Do you ever feel tired when you wake up with DC in the morning and you've been up this late? Or if you are pregnant, do you just feel tired anyways?  I always feel so warn out all day, but then night comes and I can't sleep.

Re: For those of you still here....

  • Yes, all the time, unfortunately!  It's been true all my life, but it got really bad in my first trimester.  Through my pregnancy I'd fall asleep but then I'd wake up and not be able to fall back asleep.  For this past year, I've just liked having some peace and quiet after DD and DH go to bed.  I really do need more sleep, but I enjoy checking in with everyone here and getting stuff done without being interrupted. :)

  • Baby not here yet, but I'm tired ALLL day. If I could get comfortable (and I know it's soooo weird to say that because I'm only 9 weeks, but I NEVER had a problem falling asleep before, now I just can't) anyway, if I could get comfortable I would sleep all day.

Usually I take a nap during the day, drag myself off the couch to do things. I don't usually sleep again till 2am or so.

I've always been a night person, but usually I would sleep in. Can't do that anymore either.

I wonder what it will be like when I have the baby.  I suppose much more tired during the day.

  • All day I was thinking that I can't wait for bedtime and now here I am. no matter how much sleep I get I will be so tired tomorrow. Plus I don't sleep well anyways.
  • I have terrible sleeping habits.  I feel like I need a nap during the day but can't seem to fall asleep at night.  I have always been a terrible sleeper.  I'm hoping the baby takes after my DH and sleeps well!

  • I don't have my DC yet, but the answer is yes. I have always been a night person, and it hasn't changed since I've been pregnant. The last 3 nights I have been up until 2:30 or 3:00 working and researching baby bedding and furniture online. I wasn't even tired but I made myself go to bed. Luckily I work for myself (from home), so I can sleep in the following morning. It's going to be tough once DC is here and I have to wake up early. I'm sure my body will adjust and I'll start going to bed at a decent time. At least I hope so.

  • we have discussed my insomnia before and now I have a terrible habit... I stay up way late and then E and I get up early and then we take his morning nap together. He naps in his crib and I nap in my bed... Why can I fall asleep so easily then, and not at night!?Sometimes I even nap during his afternoon nap!

  • i've been waiting for bedtime since i woke up this morning.  now typing away and i'm listening to my dh and ds snore instead of catching some zzzzz's myself.

  • I'm not a night person and am a really good sleeper.  However, since I became pg, I wake up several times a night to pee and my dreams are so vivid that they are messing with my sleep.  I guess my body is just getting prepared for a newborn's arrival.

  • I've been exhausted since the week I found out I was PG, then I had sever late term PG induced insomnia that turned into mommy related lack of sleep.

So yeah I am tired all the time DS sleep patterns are improving though and I find that I sleep better now even if if it is interupted because my body is attempting to get rest any way it can.

  • I'm a little late answering but yes.  I sleep so poorly these days that I am totally exhausted all day and then at night, it's not that I can't fall asleep but I think I put off going to bed until later b/c I know it isn't going to be a restful sleep.  Once my head hits the pillow I'm usually asleep but between peeing, hands falling asleep, hips hurting, etc. I don't get more than 45-60 minutes in at a time and sometimes I am unable to go back to sleep after a pee break.  It is frustrating but I guess good practice for when the baby gets here.
