Hello!
I'm just delurking. ?After comparing the various boards hereabouts I decided the trimester boards were a bit too... errr. ?"not me." ?I'm at just about 12 weeks right now.
?I'm 41 and nerdly, living in Montreal with my wonderful 30-year old husband and 3 cats. ?I love reading, cooking, eating, tabletop and video games and webcomics, and I currently work as a game designer. ?We plan to have me do the stay-at-home mom thing either as long as we have children or as long as my sanity remains relatively unimpaired, whichever comes first. ?*grins*
We've had 7 tries that didn't take, including two ectopics, so I wasn't eager to jump into the conversations until the worst of the risky times had past. I have had a successful pregnancy waaaaay back in 1985, a daughter I gave up for adoption, but I did develop preeclampsia on that one.
?ANYway. ?Hello, and nice to meet you all!

Re: Delurking
Welcome Amy. I think you'll find the ladies on this board are very nice and supportive. As far as I can tell, this is an informative and "drama free" board. Glad to have you and best of luck as you move forward through your pregnancy.
Sorry, this isn't baby related ... but I'm curious what kinds of tabletop games do you mean, and which kinds of games you design. My DH is a gamer who is super into boardgames ... mainly Euros, but not always. I game with DH when I can, but DD keeps me busy these days and doesn't make gaming super easy. We have a couple friends who design board games and card games.

A huge welcome to you - Amy, and a very happy and healthy 9 mos to ya!

Thank you everyone!
FutureMrsDenman - or maybe just Futuremissus? I'm a video game designer, but my husband is a HUGE tabletop gamer. I play when I can, but I admit I mainly coast on his fanaticism there. He's French, so most of his collection is European, but we have a few of my American games hidden in there too. My favorites are some of the silly little things from Cheapa$$ games (sorry about the language, I don't yet know where the lines are drawn here - plus it's the name of the company!) like "Give me the Brain!"
Thanks again to everyone for the warm welcome, and happy and healthy pregnancies for everyone!
I am a little late but, welcome and congratulations, I am so sorry to hear about your losses. I hope everything is smooth and easy for you with this one.
