Using a lands end canvas tote with zip top for diaper bag?

Any thoughts on if this would be a good idea? I haven't found any diaper bags I like that aren't over $50 and I hate to spend that much. Would you get a medium or large?

  • I like the idea but I am very anti-diaper bag. I would get a medium.

  • We got the Lg one for a wedding present and IMO it would be too big for a diaper bag. It is more for the beach or something. I would go with medium.
  • The only reason I'm not all for it is that there are no separate pouches.  All of your stuff will be swimming together.  That may make it hard to grab things quickly.

Unless I'm mistaken and they do have pockets...

I'm thinking about doing that as well...also look at LL Bean - their totes are nice because you can get them with regular handles or longer handles that can go over the shoulder.

  • We use a Land's End bag for DS's daycare bag and LOVE IT!  It does have side pockets and a zip top. We have the medium, I think.
  • I thought about it, but I would like to have some compartments.  Baby Bargains rates LL Bean (and Eddie Bauer) diaper bags really high, so we may look into those. If you are going to go the Boat Tote route, go with the medium.  The large ones are really big.
  • I got this one from Lands end and it's great! I have a bigger diaper bag and wanted one on the smaller side. This bag is by no means small- it's actually a great size and it has pockets inside and out, zip top, and changing pad. And, it's on sale for 14.99!!! Very cute bag! I got green , but they have pink and blue as well!
