Similar ?-DD spits up more with BM than formula

One of my DDs is a champion spitter-upper normally, but it seems like when she has breast milk, either by breast or bottle, she spits up more than when she has formula.  Any thoughts?  It doesn't seem to bother her (it even seems the more she gets you, the bigger she smiles!), so it's just a curiousity, and laundry, issue. 
2004-Started TTC; Nov 2007-Lap with endo removed; Jan 2008-Ectopic (mtx); April 2008-IVF #1 (bfp, twin girls); March 2011-FET (cp); June 2012-IVF #2 (bfp, singleton, EDD 3-19-12)

    I don't know why this is, but my DD has always been the same. I tried cutting out diary from my diet but it didn't make much difference. My health visitor's theory is that the BM is richer? I'm not so sure, though.

    Same thing here.  Nothing I did diet wise made the change.  Turns out it is a consistency issue - BM is more watery than formula, according to my pedi, and that seems to be the difference with DD.
