I have a question re: progesterone levels

Okay so I had my 7dpo blood work done.  I got the results on Monday.  Apparently my progesterone was really low , like I did not ovulate, and next month I will be given an higher dose of clomid and have to come in for monitoring.

Well, I did have a clear thermal shift at 16dpo.  Usually my temps are different (higher) but I know they can change from month to month.  I thought I saw a second line on a hpt last sunday, however all other tests have been negative so it must have been an evap.

So here I am today, not knowing wtf is going on with my chart.  I had to put the settings on opk to get my chart to tell me when I "ovulated".

Do you think I would be just wasting my money to poas?

Not sure what direction we are headed. Either way, I am up for the ride.

  • You're asking the wrong board. ?We're a bunch of pee-stick peeing pushers. ?DO IT!
  • Loading the player...
  • do you have any internet cheapies? If so I say go for it!
  • I don't.  In fact I don't have any.  I have to go to my dads band thing tomorrow so I can possibly stop at the dollar store.  Part of me thinks I should just call my doc for a beta, and then start provera if its negative.  No sense in drawing this out over a few  more weeks.

  • I think that sounds like a good idea - can you get a beta drawn on monday?
  • Oh boo. ?I went and bought sticks last night. ?You can do it, too. ?Or just call your dr and get the beta. ?Mine requires a beta no matter what before I start provera.

So does mine.  He just wants to be cautious.

  • If you have low progesterone, it could be a problem with staying pg.  I would call your doctor and let them know that you think you had a positive test.  Hopefully the doc will do a beta if you ask and test your progesterone again as well.  That way you can get the meds you need if you are pg.  Good luck!
