One of the twins always drinks about a 2 oz. supplement of formula after nursing, the other one refuses most of the time. The one "refusing" is the one with reflux, so I am trying to decide if she is hungry but doesn't want the formula, or if she just doesn't want any more because she is full. She fusses/cries when I try to give her the bottle of formula (could also be because she doesn't want it from a bottle??).
Anyway, I am just trying to find out if drinking different amounts is normal for babies that are the same age. Thanks!!
Re: Do your DCs eat the same amount?
We find that the amount our fraternal twins eat may vary at one feeding, but their overall daily intake is usually in the same range (currently 25-30 oz most days). Their weight gain is also very similar--they were both 12 lbs 6 oz at their last appointment. (Birth weight was only 3 oz different.)
That said, I think it's very normal for two babies the same age to eat different amounts. As long as they're both growing at a good rate, I'd think it's fine.
