Restaurants closed on Sunday?

I just made reservations for our Anniversary tomorrow and I had to call 3 restaurants.  The first one was closed on Sunday and the second was only open for brunch.  I never thought that a restaurant would be closed on a Sunday.

The brunch thing doesn't surprise me, but you don't see too many restaurants completely closing on Sundays...weird.

Hardly any restaurants are closed on Sundays around here. Maybe it's just where you live. Bummer though!

It is a fairly big city so I am wondering if there just is not the demand for fine dining on sunday nights?

We live in a relatively small town and pretty much everything (stores, restaurants, etc.) are closed on Sundays.  Our only option for eating out on Sunday would be McDonalds, Subway, or Hardees.

My dad owns a restaurant and he closes on Sundays. However, his is in a smaller city, so he doesn't feel like he's losing much, and he wants to have one day in the weekend off.

A lot of places are closed here on Sunday as well. or Monday.?
