We've been trying to conceive baby #2 since August. This was my first Femara cycle (I have PCOS and had been on Clomid). I had a blood pregnancy test today (you have to at my doctors) and it came back bfp but my beta was only 11. They're making me go every two days to see if it starts to double but they said this is very low so not to be too optimistic. Does anyone have experience with a low beta? I'm not that sensitive in general, so tell me what you really think. Does this pg stand a chance?
Re: bfp but low beta...
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

Usually with a trigger you ovulate 36 hours after. SO you are probably only 12 days past O. You may have had a late implantation and have not had much time to get your HCG to a higher level. I say you can be hopeful that things will start to rise!
Good luck!

At 11dpo my beta was only a 5. I wasn't very hopeful. Two days later at 13dpo my beta was 17, so it more than doubled in 48 hours. I kept having repeat betas and my numbers kept increasing like they should and I'm currently 28 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby boy! Try not to lose hope...although I know it can be so hard. There are a few of us on SAIF who started out with very low betas and are success stories.
Good luck!!!
