Hi Girls-
Well.....instead of watching the Spartan victory, we were in the ER last night with Connor ![]()
Around 7pm he started to get VERY sleepy and lethargic like I have never seen before. It was very scary.....he was extremely pale and limp. He then started to heat up (his face was very red as well as his ears and then he broke out in a rash). I took his temp and it was 105! It all happened so quickly......I still can't believe how fast things like this can happen. We quickly gave him some Tylenol and headed to the ER......
We waited FIVE fricking hours to be seen (sorry Detroit girls.....but this is why I hate Beaumont....) AND his fever went UP while we were waiting.
They couldn't find anything wrong and sent us home saying it was a virus.
Here's the kicker: when the nurse was going over the med schedule (alternating Tylenol and Motrin....) she told me the doses in MILLIGRAMS. I asked her to convert it to CC's or TEASPOONS and she said, "hmmm.....I'm not sure how to do that....we do it in mg here!" WTF? There aren't MG on the measuring cups. Thank God my mom is a nurse.....but what do other people do??? No more Beaumont for us ![]()

Anyways, luckily he is doing better today.....still a bit warm and irritable, but it was scary.
The worst part is that when we were in the room waiting to see a doc there was a 6 week infant that had to have a spinal done and I heard the whole thing....I was crying.....it was awful ![]()
Hopefully today is a better day.......

Holy cow. That sounds terrible!!! I'm so sorry you were treated poorly.
And that little baby, how awful -- it breaks my heart just thinking about it.
I'm so sorry! Get well soon, Connor.

I hope Connor is feeling better today!!!!!!!!!! When I ask my doctors what hospital to ever take Charlie to if there is an Emergency that is NOT a hospital they have ever mentioned. They actually like Providence & Boumout better. I was surprised by this.
I would follow up with your doctor on Monday just to make sure all the bases were covered.
