Are you here?

I have a stupid question for you.

Tomorrow we are going to a birthday party at a pizzeria.  Would you eat the pizza after taking the cheese off?  Do you think it seeps into the crust?

I know I sound ridiculous, btw.  My H laughed at me and told me to just eat a salad.

hmm - I think it might seep in.  Or there might be milk in the sauce/crust.

You could take the opportunity to do a dairy trial though.  I do that every now and then (when I really want to eat something lol).

  • Do you have the option to order something for yourself? I order pizza without cheese (well, we do pizza half without cheese because I'm generally sharing with my DH and DS) and it works out really well for me. I don't risk peeling cheese off pizza after it's been baked on, personally.

    Totally butting in, BTW! Sorry!

  • Sorry, butting in.  Just wanted to say that I was in a similar situation while BFing Carter.  I put in an order (that I paid for) for an individual veggie pizza without cheese when I got there.  That way I didn't lose the toppings when taking off all the cheese on the pizza that was ordered for the party.

  • Oh, Zenya makes a really good point. Make sure to ask about the different types of crust and see if they have one without milk.

Ooooh, good point. I just assumed that pizza dough is just water, yeast, salt and flour.

It is a party, and I think they are just ordering pizza for everyone. I am going to ask about a veggie pizza, thanks Kerbear. Or I might do a dairy trial for Zenya if it looks really good ;)

    Thanks for validating my craziness!

Thinking about it now, the dough is probably fine for you.  I can't do it b/c it has soybean oil.  The sauce may have dairy though.  But not necessarily.  If your little girl is not crazy sensitive like mine is.. you should be fine!

    mmm pizza.

mmm pizza is right! I can't believe how much I miss pizza. If it is the thin crust, I am going to be tempted to do that trial.

  • Dairy is a problem in some crusts. I know from experience. They should be able to tell you if you ask.
