Trying to get pregnant

Hi ladies, haven't been on in awhile. I have a three year old boy and hubby and I are trying to get pregnant. With my son it only took 4 months of trying so I didn't forsee any problems this time around.

Jan. 25th was my last period, so I am really late. I have taken and continue to take pg tests once a week, and they are all negative.

I drink regularly, get in our hot tub quite a bit, and hit the tanning beds a lot, and we are planning a trip to vegas in a couple weeks. I wouldn't be doing these things if I were pg, but the tests are all negative.

It is safe to assume I'm not pg, right? Since all of the tests are negative? I feel nervous about it because I it would really suck if I were indeed pg and am continuing my normal lifestyle. Thanks for reading.

Re: Trying to get pregnant

  • Did you get a positive pee stick when you were pregnant with your son? ?You might want to call your doctor and ask what he/she thinks.

  • I would assume you aren't pregnant and you just skipped a cycle. But it's been over 60 days, right?

Did you just get off the pill? You could just be having a really long annovulatory cycle.

Go see your Gyn (or at least give her a call) to see if she's concerned about that long of a cycle.

  • Yeah, I did get positive tests with my son. Everything was so normal that time.
  • If it's been more than 60 days from your last period I'd call your doc and get something to jumpstart your cycle.
  • I got off the pill in October.
  • Call your doc.  Even if pregnancy #1 was textbook it's not a guarantee subsequent ones will be.

  • call your dr and see if they can do a bloodtest, that way you will know for sure
