Hi everyone,
I'm on the TTTC board again, finally, after taking a year off following my fibroid removal surgery. It's good to be back in the swing of things, but still angst ridden to be honest.
On Sunday I'm going for IUI #2 (#1 was in Oct. 2007 so I'm sort of not counting that). I have high FSH, but not nearly as high as I used to, and one unblocked tube, one that's sort of blocked because of the scar tissue left behind after my surgery, most of my surgery was on my left side.
I have an unmedicated IUI scheduled, my follicle on the right side is 17mm with a lining of 8 as of today, CD11. ?I'd love to hear any success stories. We are drawing the line at IVF and will adopt instead, but I thought I'd post here for some good stories.
Thanks, and congratulations to everyone. Hi to anyone who may remember me, I probably didn't post much after April 2008 back on the TTTC board...but it's wonderful to see so many familiar names who have graduated to SAIF!
Thanks!?
Re: IUI success stories?
IUI worked for us! Good luck to you.
After four failed IVF cycles and one failed frozen transfer, our first IUI worked. (It's seems backwards, but it was our only option, as we had to move on to donor sperm!)
Good luck!
Hang in there!
We had success on b2b IUIs with follistum/trigger on #6 and #7. I did MANY IUI's (that I don't even count) with a previous RE....she thinned my lining too much for it too count with clomid. That RE said I would NEVER conceive with IUIs and suggested IVF. We had our IVF meeting and it just didn't make sense to me. So we sought a second opinion and after 3 months of b2b IUIs with close monitoring we got a BFP. I think b2b's are ideal with close monitoring. Good luck.
I did 2 IUI's with Clomid, then got pg on IUI #3, using Folisitim (injectibles).
Good luck!
