Today was my last day of work until September!!

When I went for my appointment on Monday the doctor wrote me out of work as of today because of all of contractions I've been having (and the fact that I'm 2-3cm dilated and 60% effaced because of them).  It is so good to know that I can just relax and wait for this baby to come instead of killing myself working all day and then coming home exhausted and sore.  Hopefully Jack will wait at least a few more days (or a couple of weeks!) before he decides to come

Well, I only get this long off because I am a teacher and we have the summer off anyway.  I'm getting paid for the 6 weeks after the baby is born, then i'm taking unpaid leave until the end of the school year.  I'm going back to school in September at the beginning of the next school year.

Claire is still going to daycare 3 days a week, so that will make the next couple of weeks a little easier on Mama

Ooo enjoy all that time you get to spend with you little ones.  You won't regret it (I'm a teacher too..due in September and I'm taking the whole year off next year)

YEA!!! Awesome news! You will definitely appreciate the time off - even if you are chasing Claire 2 days a week. I ended up being off for 3 weeks before DD was born and even though there were days that I was very tired (no daycare for Evan) I am so, so glad that we had that time together before the baby! Good for you - enjoy it!

PS - Got your PM (my first and only! :-)). Thanks so much for the kind words. Being a mom of two is tough but AWESOME!! I am so excited for you!!
