Ok ladies, I have NO details this time around other than my donor is triggering tonight for ER on Sunday! Yea!!!! I guess it really all depends on which nurse calls, this one wasn't in a sharing mood. Whatever.
So, I had to run out real quick to get a speciman cup for my DH since they didn't give us one yesterday and now I'm super excited! yea!!!
Question, how long does the "speciman" need to be fresh for? I thought it was 1 hour but the nurse said no more than 2-3 hours. Regardless, we're going to try to keep it as fresh as possible, but I'm just curious.
Thanks!
Re: Got update! ER on Sunday!
YEA!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited for you!!
I've always been told the 1 hour rule, but, we got one there once in an hour and a half and they said it was just fine.
omg, yay! i hope everything goes perfectly!
i always heard an hour also, but if they told you 2 or 3, then i guess trust what they tell you.
but if it was me i would still go for an hour. b/c i have ocd, and i wouldn't want to regret it later.
My RE requires that it be there within in hour of collection and kept warm (keep it close to your body).
Boo for no details but I am sure that everything looks great! Can't wait to see your update over the weekend!
Awesome news!! I'm so excited for you and your DH!!! I can't wait to hear the news on Sunday!
As for the sperm sample - I have always heard the 1 hour rule as well (though my DH has always gone with me to the clinic so its basically at the same time). BUT this last time (the DE cycle) - they wanted my DH to get in there earlier so as to not run into the donor. Of course my DH didn't think he would even recognize her if he saw her - I knew I would but was scared to see her in case i didn't like what I saw!
Good luck!!!!
OMG, this is really happening! Yeah!! I have always been told the 1 hour rule. I can't wait to hear how many eggs she gets and the fert report on Monday.
I didn't have a chance to respond earlier so a very belated....
YAHOO!!!!!!
I can't wait to hear how it goes!!!!
