Ok.. I'm a crazy woman. Just got home from the ER.
I mentioned some crampiness last night... still got that. But this AM there was blood. Bright red and lots of it. Of course, my Dr. said to come in to the ER right away--she was actually at the hospital today doing c-sections.
So, since we had quite a bit of snow, I had to roust my good neighbor with the snowblower to come dig me out first. I think I gave the poor old guy a heart attack. Plus, my husband's travelling so I had to enlist another neighbor to go with me.
Finally get to the ER... and you sit and wait... and wait.. and wait. About 2 hours and the ultrasound guy finally shows up. Apologetic. He had gone skiing yesterday and was having a bad allergic reaction to something in his sunscreen and looked like someone punched him in both eyes. Unshaven. He looked worse than me.
Long story short... everything's fine. My Dr. stopped in after the u/s and said everything's normal.. baby is fine. Heard the heartbeat and everything. Probably just because I'm at 8 weeks, the placenta is fixin' to take over things, so there's some blood and cramping. Go home and relax.
Whew...

Eeek - SO glad you are okay! I would have had a heart attack. I hope the ultrasound tech is ok too :-), although it's very hard for me to feel sorry for someone who got to enjoy a powder day at this point!
thanks all! Just keep the good vibes flowin'.....
Holy cow, I'm pretty calm (she says, tongue FIRMLY in cheek), but that would have wigged me out beyond belief. SO happy to hear all is well!

Awwww, poor ultrasound guy!
Poor YOU, too! Scary! I had my crazy freakout ER trip on the 20th, with a similiar "everything is fine" result and a rhogam shot in my posterior. It's awful sitting in there waiting, wondering if it's all going horribly wrong. I'm glad it ended up fine.
