XP - Best sbs double stroller?

I have a tandem stroller but think I'll want a side by side too - there are some instances when I think they'd both want to see, like at the zoo, and the tandem is really hard to steer. What sbs do you like, and why? Is it really wide? Does it fold easily? Does it have snack trays and storage? When do you find it a bad choice to use? Anything else I should be asking about? TIA!

Re: XP - Best sbs double stroller?

  • I have 2: City Mini Double and Bumbleride Indie Twin. I LOVE the bumbleride! It is my go for a walk/park/zoo stroller. It is very comfortable for the girls and steers very nicely and very easy to push. The City Mini is my stroller for mall and daycare drop offs (I do not own a tandem one). City mini is lighter and folds up like a dream, but not so easy to take to places like BRU to get between the clothes racks is nearly impossible. I don't think it is as confortable for the girls though because the seats are made from thick cloth, so their backs are not well supported. For both strollers you have to buy snack trays separatelly, but bumbleride comes with most other accessories. Bumbleride has much better storage, it is impossible to get to the city mini's basket. • quickstepstar - there's a pocket on the back seat of the city mini, behind the pocket you put regular stuff in. It's a secret pocket closed with velcro. Slide some cardboard in there, and it will make a world of difference for your kiddos' comfort :)

We have the city mini. Until we figured out the cardboard trick, my kids HATED that stroller. But now that they're more comfortable, it's the best stroller in the world.

  • I have the city mini and really like it.  We haven't had any trouble with the seats.  It steers great and has decent storage for a stroller it's size.

I also considered the 2009 Combi Twin (it has a better basket than the previous model).  I like how small it folds up.
