I have a tandem stroller but think I'll want a side by side too - there are some instances when I think they'd both want to see, like at the zoo, and the tandem is really hard to steer. What sbs do you like, and why? Is it really wide? Does it fold easily? Does it have snack trays and storage? When do you find it a bad choice to use? Anything else I should be asking about? TIA!
Re: Moms of 2+ - best sbs double stroller?
I have a tandem and a SBS. My SBS is a Combi Twin Sport EX...I like it for the most part. It's 19 lbs, folds in half, and steers easily. The baskets underneath aren't big---but usually I'll just pack two small backpacks for the kids. The bars across the front are slim and do not have snack trays or sippy holders which is my biggest gripe. I switch strollers depending on where I'm going and what I need that day.
I have the Peg Perego Aria Twin 60/40. I got it because our Peg carseat snaps in really easily and it's such a lightweight stroller. But I find it hard to push and steer. So I got the Baby Jogger City Mini Double and LOVE it. It's super lightweight, easy to fold and really easy to push/steer/turn. I also found a great deal on a Joovy Caboose Ultralight and bought it too (yes, I have a slight stroller problem! ). I think it will be great when my 2.5 year wants to walk some and ride some at the zoo and other places this summer, and will become our main stroller as time goes on.
