I'm begining to worry that ds will outgrow his bassinet before he is ready to move to the crib. He was already at 3 weeks 11lb4oz and it only goes up to 15lbs. The problem is, everytime he goes in the crib he wakes up within 5 minutes very upset. Do I just keep trying to put him in there for naps in hopes that he becomes more familiar with it? Any advice would be helpful.

Re: How to get child used to crib?
I usually just lurk on here, but I saw your post and thought I'd reply
Someone recently gave me a great book called "Good Night, Sleep Tight" by Kim West. It has really great information in there about each stage of babyhood, how much sleep they should be getting, and how to get them to fall asleep and stay asleep. It might be helpful to you.
Good luck!
So if he were in there decompressing, which I know he needs to do, do I stay in there with him and comfort him without picking him up? Do I stay in there and just let him be? Should I just be completely out of the room? It's just so frustrating that he will be completely asleep and if he went in the bassinet he would be fine but in the crib he wakes.
