Anyone experience or currently experiencing this? Any correlation with labor? Every time I "go," it's super soft, though not always diaharrea. Sorry for the TMI.
I haven't experienced it yet but according to my birthing instructor it could be an early sign of labor. But if there are no other signs soon then it might not be anything at all.
I'm there, but that's been me the whole time. I haven't had any problems with constipation (luckily). So for me I'm sure it's not a sign of early labor, but here's hoping.
I think that soft stool has to also be frequent (like you go a lot in a short period of time) for it to be a sign of early labor. Most people feel like they have a virus or that they are being cleaned out, and usually it's coupled with back pain or cramps.
I asked my doc about this last night (I'm 36 weeks and have been having the same issue) - he said it's pretty normal and not necessarily a sign of labor.
He explained that the stool has less room to pass because of the baby - and that our body sometimes naturally softens our stool to make it easier to pass.
