2months and going to introduce formula for the 1st time

This weekend - She needs to start having at least one bottle a day at the sitters becuae I am not pumping enough. Any suggestions??

When I first started trying to supplement, DS wouldn't take just straight formula.  He would wrinkle his little nose and make a face like I was giving him a bottle of vinegar.  I had to mix half formula and half breastmilk to get him to take any formula.  I gradually decreased the amount of formula.  Now he'll take a bottle of either.

if its just one bottle i wouldn't be too concerned.  Do you bottle feed BM as it is?  I wouldn't know how to transition since DD was basically on the bottle all the time (only on the breast here and there if that).  Try playtex nipples, easier transition and less nipple confusion

but you should be able to just give the one bottle of formula per day with no issues

I'm curious about this too, since I fear I won't pump enough when I go back to work next week.  I bought a package of the Enfamil Lipil single-serving packages to send to daycare, in the event I can't pump 3 bottles while I'm at work.  But I'm on Fenugreek and the tea, hoping that supplementing won't be necessary.

I agree that mixing with breastmilk first is a good way to introduce it.  Just don't make a huge bottle so if LO doesn't drink all of it you're not tossing a lot of breastmilk (because you can't save breastmilk that's been mixed with formula - gotta toss if it's not finished at one session.)  Also - just to be clear - you mix the proper amount of formula and water first - then you can add breastmilk.  You never add bm to powdered formula without first having mixed the formula with proper amount of water.  If you're using ready to feed formula then it's not an issue - you just dump some liquid formula in a bottle and dump some bm on top - warm - and serve!
