It is for us! Cal is a big spitter-upper, but they say as long as a) he's a "happy spitter-upper" (not in distress), and b) he's gaining weight, it's fine.

my little guy does this too. ?i asked the pedi yesterday and she said it's most likely reflux. ?she was concerned whether it was an effortless spit-up or violent. ?for us it was effortless, he doesn't seem to be in pain it just happens. ?so she thinks it's reflux. ?her solution was to slow done the feedings and to keep him upright for about 30 minutes afterward. ?so far it seems to be working, but it's only been one day.

Our pedi suggested the same, but it never made a difference for us!

Our Pedi reminded us (over and over, I needed reassurance) that it is a tiny amount of spit up even though it feels like a lot. She also said it is realted to their digestive track still developing and adjusting. They did wonder if she had reflex, but said that they don't treat it at this age. Which is fine with me. I find that if she eats more often, she spits up less. I think it is somehow related to eating on an empty stomach.

Ugh, yes. DS spits up all the time and large quantities too! I thought there was no way he was keeping anything down but they arent spitting up as much as it seems. If he seems to be in pain then talk to your pedi about reflux but otherwise spit up is normal.
I think some spit up is normal.. Collin spits up.. he was spitting up a lot before we knew it was reflux.. he's been on zantac 3x daily for a couple of months now and he spits up much less with that. We also had to switch him to soy formula and that helped a lot with the spit up too.

DD spits up tons. Each feeding = a new outfit.
Not much can be done to stop it at this point, although adding rice cereal (per the pedi) has helped a bit.
She takes Zantac because of the pain.
