I once read that twin mom's become stroller whores --
Trying to decide if I should buy a 2004 triple stroller (Peg Perego Elegante) off of Craigs list. They are asking 350 I'd offer 250 at the most.
DS is 21 months and twins are three months.
Four Questions -
1. Do you know anything about the 2004 Peg Perego stroller?
2. Would you buy it?
3. Do you like the side by side or front back stollers for three?
4. Which strollers would you get rid of from the list below?
We currently have -
Chicco Double stroller _ Gift
Double Snap and Go - bought for 30 bucks
Single Graco stroller - Shower gift
Single McClarin Umberela stroller - hand - me - down
Singleton Jogger stroller - hand -me-down
Double Jogger stroller - hand me down
Re: Stroller advice poll --
i did a lot of research on stroller options for us (DS will be just over 2 when the twins are born) - and decided I did NOT want a triple stroller- they are just too huge- and we wouldn't always need a triple, and DS would not always want to be in a stroller so it seemed like a waste.
the only real option is the Valco Trimode Twin + toddler seat - there is a post about it a few pages back where someone posted photos of their toddler in one.
When DS gets older we'll put on the "hitchhiker" board he can stand on to ride when he doesn't want to sit- and we'll still ahve a double without dealing with the size of a triple.
we can also use the Valco as a double + use one of our single strollers for DS when more than one of us is out with all 3 at a time.
I would not buy that stroller, esp for that much. (even 250.) it doesn't have the steering wheel, which is the only thing that makes the newer version maneuverable.
i have the newer triplette, and a triple jogger. the triplette (with the steering wheel) is v nice, but honestly, i never use it anymore. and the jogger is too wide to take anywhere.
keep the double SNG, get rid of the single graco. keep the rest, maybe. hmm. i wouldn't get a triple, though. hmm.

My blog * We made the national news!
I have a toddler plus twins. My toddler was 16 months when the twins were born. We ended up buying the Peg Perego Triplette with the steering wheel. I used it from September through now. It was a life saver because it allowed me to go out on my own with all three.
You can always carry a twin and use a double. However, sometimes this isn't practical when you are going to be somewhere for a long time, at least for me. My back would start to hurt and I have a good carrier too.
I am ready to sell my stroller now. In all honesty, I'm glad we bought the Triplette. But, like Pea-kay said, I wouldn't buy one without a steering wheel.
I currently have a single, double and triple. I think a variety is nice. My double is the Kolcraft Contours. It's great because I can use it like the double snap and go or put the seats on.It also has handles on the side for the toddler to hang on to.
My ideal stroller right now is the Valco Tri Mode. Hope this helps!
