Morning everyone!  Thanks to all you that sent me your good thoughts yesterday.  Fortunately, I am not on the list to get laid off.  Unfortunately, they got rid of a third of my group including my officemate/friend of 6 years. 

I feel awful for everyone that got laid off.  One girl was forced to move from CA to NY just a few months ago and now that she doesn't have a job she is going to have to leave the country.  One guy was just promoted less than 2 weeks ago and then he gets laid off - talk about emotional rollercoaster!

The whole thing just sucks.  The economy sucks.  The way the company carried out the lay offs sucks.  The process in which my bosses decided who would get laid off sucks.  And now morale sucks. 

Anyway, thanks again.  You guys are my escape from the sucky stuff!!

Keep hanging on and try to stay positive. It's hard, but it's the only thing you can really do. I'm glad you still have your job.

I am so happy to hear that you didn't get laid off! Last night, I was quick scanning the board to see if there happened to be an update from you!

Thanks girls!  I didn't post last night b/c we left work at 4pm to go drinking (so Chassy, you should drink that beer b/c I had enough last night!).

Lay offs suck, even when you're not one of the people being laid off. ?I'm glad you still have a job, though.
