Does it hurt at all? Mine became sensitive to the touch. But your incision should not be red. Also by the way my dr. and nurses acted the hardness isn't that normal either. I don't think the hardness is as big of a concern as the redness.

    It's a 4" vertical incision. It's flatter and smaller on top (thankfully) but the bottom part is dark pink and close to a 1/2" wide and very rounded on top. It has a rope-like feel above my skin. It was closed originally with stitches and staples.

    The doc told me at my 6 wk check up that it will be rope-like for a long time. so I've never been concerned...hmmm.?
