F/U to non-mom friend who can't drive an hour to see my new kid

She responded to my "okay, just tell me when is good for you" with "so sorry it couldn't work out this weekend."  So maybe it really is just a bad weekend for her or maybe I just caught her at a bad time. 

We will see...actions speak louder than words though.

The way she worded her response to you before makes me think that maybe something is up with her and she's just not down for anything.  If I were single and/or didn't have a kid to contend with and I had a bad week at work...I'd be in the tub with a glass of wine ALL WEEKEND.

Hope it works out.  Your dd and my dd have the same b-day 11/25 (she's 05 though).  Maybe it is just a busy time for her or you caught her at a busy moment.

I know we all had more time before kids but we did do stuff with it. She just has something else to do. no insult.

I don't think I'd drive an hour to see a newborn of anyone's. Not that exciting and I hate driving.

I'd wait until I had some other reason to be in town and do 2 things that day, also the baby would be more interesting at 3 or 4 or 6 months.
