Anyone postpone TTC because of travel?

DH and I have been trying for TTC #2 for a while now. I had a miscarriag in December and a failed IUI/injectables cycle last month. We took this month off so we could talk and just figure things out as we have been TTC for months and it has been totally consuming us. Well, we just found out that DH won his company trip! It's a huge deal because it is based on performance, etc. The trip is the middle of May. I thought we would be able to squeeze one more cycle in before but it is cutting it close (I have long cycles and since I took this month off after BFN, who knows when I will get AF).....I'm afraid the timing might be off for the monitoring while we are gone ( I am a slow responder and stimmed for 16 days!).....I'm wondering if I should just wait it out another month or so so we can enjoy our vacation? We desperately want another baby, but I don't know if being non-pregnant would be a bad thing for this trip either. Anyone in a similar situation?

We have done it both ways...one cycle we really did have to sit out because CD3 happened while we were in the middle of the Caribbean on a cruise.  We have cut it close on 2 other cycles and managed to fit them in, though we always seemed to be leaving around the start of the cycle not the middle.  One cycle isn't the end of the world...but I always sort of waited until it was closer to that cycle to decide.  You never know when your body will do a super short or super long cycle.

I'm in this situation now (sort of). ?I'm in the 2ww and feeling positive, and we have a Europe trip planned in 3 weeks. ?I'm wondering if it makes sense to go if I am pg, or if it would be silly. ?On one hand, I don't want to postpone life, on the other hand, I want to be somewhat practical too (what if I'm not feeling great?) - sorry I have no good advice on this one! ?

In the very begining of ttc we put ttc on hold for many reasons. After a while we decided we couldn't put ttc on hold and just went w/ it.

But you have to do what is right for you.

Yes. I was doing IUI's with repronex, but we had lots of travel planned for this past summer.  I had to wait 5 months because of timing (missed doing a cycle by 3 days because the clinic required an inject class even though I had used the medicine before elsewhere (and the clinic wouldn't work with me before that class...I missed taking BCP by 3 days because of it!). I took the required BCPs during our last month 'off' and was ready to go when we were finished traveling.  It sucked, but we really enjoyed our vacations!
