Dizziness, antidepressants and ttc... help!

Anyone had this?  I am 9dpiui.  Negative hpt on test sensitive to 20 miu, so I don't think I'm pg or if so, it is too early to have significant pg symptoms.  I have been having nausea all week and a little dizziness.  Today, the dizziness has been unbearable.  Communicated with RE to see if possibly could be progesterone causing dizziness (not taking supps) following ovulation.  Not a direct answer, but punted me to my gp.  I take an antidepressant to help me cope (please don't judge me for that...)  GP says that perhaps being on Clomid and hcg trigger, etc. could be interfering with antidepressant absorption and causing dizziness.  If I miss an antidepressant I do get a funny swimmy head feeling.  So, gp increased antidepressant dosage to see if dizziness is resolved.  I feel like such a loser for having take a bigger happy pill and I almost started crying thinking I was just going to have to tell dh that we can't try to get pg because I can't deal with this dizziness and still be able to function at work, ect.

Anyone have any experience with antidepressant absorption being affected by IF meds?

  • I have not had that experience, but I just wanted to say don't feel bad for having to take anti-depressants. I've been on them ever since IVF#1 failed, and they have really saved me. I was barely able to function at work, and now I can at least cope.

I hope your dizziness gets better soon!

  • I can't help either, but wanted to say that I hope you feel better and find a combination that works.

  • I have not gotten dizzy from IF meds, not has my RE mentioned a possible interaction. One of the side effects of what I take(Wellbutrin) gives me a bit of vertigo. Maybe it depends on what type of antiD you are on?

Never think that you will get "judged" for having to take anti-depressants. It is a neuroligical/medical condition which just happens to occur "all in your head"

Anyone who does this you is misinformed and they need to STFU. ;)
