EI Eval is done...

She does qualify. Her language skills are @ a 12month and her receptive is at 10m. Her other areas are all above average so they think she does have some issues with hearing. We have her hearing test scheduled for 4/1 and we also need to talk to the Dr about tubes because it seems that will help her greatly. So she will have someone come in once a week for 90 minutes.

Hopefully we are on our way to getting this girl to hear! Thanks for all the amazing words of support and advice over the past few weeks, it was greatly appreciated!

  • I'm so glad you got some answers and hopefully once she has the hearing test and confirm she can be on her way to hearing/speaking!

    Good luck, what a journey!

  • I'm really happy you were able to get the answers you were looking for and she's going to get the help she needs. 90 minutes a week is awesome - I 'think' I mentioned before i've heard the Boston services were top knotch.  (we've been researching due to a possible move to Boston.)
  • I'm so glad it went well for you!  It sounds like you hav a top notch program there.  90 minutes once a week for just a speech delay is unheard of here.  I hope they can get her hearing straightened out and she'll be talking in no time!
