DH's cousin found out that we have been contemplating CCRM. She lives in Manhattan, and has graciously offered to let us stay with her as long as necessary, if I find a clinic in NYC that I would like to try. She's also offered to help with the costs of another cycle (should it be needed) wherever we choose to go.
ANyone have any info for me???
Re: what great IF clinics are in NYC???
I know Cornell is the biggest one. I think NYU also has a good one.
I go to an individual doctor who is the director of a different clinic. I'd be happy to PM his information to you if you'd like.
IVF #1-4=BFN IVF #5=BFP! U/S on 5/3 revealed TWINS!
I'm a Cornell girl. I love my RE and had a really good experience there (obviously no BFP but they did everything they could to help DH).
I think CCRM and Cornell are the 2 best clinics in the country. I guess it depends on your dx. If you were going to do genetic testing on embryos then I would go to Colorado.
There are many Cornell ladies on SaIF if you want to get more info as my experience is with the MFI side.
It is a smoothly run machine and you don't get a lot of hand holding but my IVF nurse was great, my RE always called back same day when I had questions. Instructions were very clear and easy to follow.
Why are you asking? I think your ku'ed
If you come to NYC we could meet

It's been a long journey. TTC since 9/06. multiple IUI's and IVF's and 4 m/c's. IVF#3 = BFP, twins, induced at 34w6d due to baby b passing away (no explanation). Delivered on 35w1d, Baby A - baby girl, and Baby B - baby boy, our little angel.

I have a friend that has had 2 babies using Cornell IVF. If they took my insurance I would be there in a heartbeat (even though we have not gotten to IVF yet).
Good luck!
Cornell or NYU. There are other clinics offering slightly more alternative options too like SIRM and New Hope Fertility.
As much as I'd love to meet you if you came to NY, I think CCRM is supposed to be better on the testing front for unexplained or complicated cases. For instance, I would have preferred Cornell to do some testing between my failed IVFs so I wouldn't be where I am now.
But you won't need a new clinic
Cornell and NYU are among the top 5 in the country. Cornell really specializes in AMA and deal with a lot of over 40 ladies. Don't get me wrong-they do a fantastic job with anyone and co culture is only done there if you are interested in that. We live about 2 hrs. from NYC and I chose NYU because my local RE said I should be fine there since I am only 38. It's a little smaller and easier to deal with IMO-I have had friends who have cycled at both centers.
Good luck!
