I saw your response to MrsD below and those blocks look great.  Do you mind sharing where you found them and how much you paid there.  I would love to get them as a first birthday gift, but can't really afford that steep of a price.

The blocks are great! I purchased them at Target for our oldest. It would have been Dec of 07. They were in store with all of the Parent's brand toys. I honestly can't remember how much I paid. I really don't think it was that much. Maybe $130 or so. If I did pay that much, then I was nuts!!

I just found them doing a quick google search at Costco for $159 including shipping.
