Size of follies ?

Good morning.  Sorry if question gets asked many times, but I scrolled a bit and didn't find anything similar, and well, we all know how the search function works!

I had a positive surge this AM (IUI tomorrow and Saturday) and realized I didn't have collection cups... so when I go to the office, they offer to do an u/s, which has never been done on +surge (I am being monitored otherwise).

So, I had 3 eggs... 19, 20, and 22.  The nurse told me it was good.  But how good is it?  What is considered normal?

Thanks!

  • Very, very good actually!  My doc won't trigger without at least one at 18 or above.  I'm surprised you didn't surge before that!  What meds are you on this cycle?

  • They want them at 18-30mm at time of ovulation.  There's no degree in there...doesn't make it better or worse to be higher or lower...just in that range.
