When is spotting not spotting anymore (XP 1st tri)

-->

(sorry if TMI)
I have been spotting since Saturday night
Saturday & Sunday it was just a lil blood in the Am when I wiped

Well today I had a few times that when I went pee there was the tiniest lil amount of blood in the toilet.
Is that still spotting?

My Dr knows I am spotting & I have just been instructed to go to the emergency room if it gets heavy.

What equates heavy? Like a menstrual type flow?

Sorry to be such a downer tonight :O(

  • I would say  that since it's been going on for a few days and stayed pretty much the same (from the sounds of things) that if you notice any sort of significant increase then go...good luck, and hugs from me!

  • Well, because you asked....

    When I miscarried with a blighted ovum a few years ago, I spotted just a teeny bit for a day or two.  But on the third day it was VERY obvious that it was no longer just a case of spotting.  Not to be graphic, but Oh Yeah, it was MUCH different than just the little spotting you're experiencing.

    Spotting would freak me out as well.. so you're justified in your concerns.  Every time I go to the bathroom, I'm always a bit anxious as to what I might see.  I think that's normal.

    Good luck and keep us posted.

  • I still analyze the TP every time I go in the bathroom or I run to the bathroom when I feel discharge (sorry tmi)....I experienced some spotting, just light, light brown and only when wiping....never had any in the toilet....I think your Dr is talking about a menstrual flow.....soaking pads, etc.  just my opinion.  When I miscarried the last two times it was a bright red spotting for a day and then major cramps and a heavy flow.  Good luck, let us know how it goes and I'll keep you in my positive thoughts!!
