Antagonist Protocol

Is this normal? I only used Cetrotide for two nights and I will be triggering tomorrow.  From what I've read people have used it much longer.

Both times I've injected Cetrotide I've gotten a large red bump that is extremely itchy and then gets very warm. The raised spot is very sore. It feels a lot like a bruise. Anyone experience this.

Re: Antagonist Protocol

  • I did the antagonist protocol last time but I never used cetrotide.  Is this like ganirelix--to prevent ovulation?

I used the ganirelix at least like 4-5 night prior to triggering.  My e2 level was over 4000 so I triggered with lupron and half the hcg (5000 units).  Otherwise, my cycle would have been canceled due to ohss (triggering with all hcg would make the e2 rise even higher).

Sorry I can't answer your question.  However, I did have a raised red spot with ganirelix.  It itched and burned as well.
