Prometrium dosage ?

I just finished my first cycle of Prometrium (to jumpstart AF) and then 50mg Clomid days 5-9.

I went in for bloodwork and no O. My progesterone measured at .5 (not good at all)

Anyway, my OB/GYN wants me to do another round of Prometrium and then Clomid 100 MG days 3-7.

My question is this time she has me on 400 mg. prometrium for 12 days. Last time I was only on it for 5. Anyone know why she wants me to take it so much longer? I would have asked her but I talked to the nurse who relayed her message and she said she has no idea why.

Do you think it's necessary to take it for the full 12 days? I just want to get this show on the road!!!!

She may have given it to you for a longer duration b/c she knows for a fact you didn't O and the longer dosage will emulate your LP, allowing your lining to thicken up before it sloughs off.

When I was given Prometrium to induce AF, I took it for 10 days.

I'm sorry!  I hate when nobody answers my posts too!    I honestly have no idea.  I take prometrium to thicken my lining, but that's it.  Sorry!  I hope somebody answers you that has a clue!  Good luck!
