Pacifier Rash

My son has allergies and very sensitive skin. He's always had a "pacifier rash" above his mouth but I'm soooo over it. We're constanting putting aquaphor or even cortaid on it. Some days it's good then it will get bad. I feel like in all of his pictures he looks like the Joker! It's not even that he always has it in his mouth--he only gets it when he sleeps and in the car but it's still bad. Obviously the best thing would be to wean him but I'm just not ready for that yet.

We use Gerber Nuk paci's right now but I think maybe we need to switch to one that has more openings. Anyone have any experience or recommend a new paci???
